IFTA is an agreement among all U.S. states and Canadian Provinces (except Alaska, Hawaii, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon) to simplify the reporting of fuel used by motor carriers operating in more than one jurisdiction. If you operate single or combination vehicles over 26,000 lbs. GVWR, or a power unit with 3 or more axles, you will need an IFTA Permit. The other option would be to purchase individual trip permits when you need them. A permanent IFTA License will probably cost less than even one temporary permit.

The IFTA License year is from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 and must be renewed each year. You will need to make quarterly reports, which will be due on the last day of the month following the end of the quarter. For example, your return for the tax reporting period of April 1 thru June 30, will be due on July 31. Your base state, which is also your registration state, will send you the pre-printed returns for you to fill out and return. You should receive these forms around the last week of each quarter.
We can acquire your IFTA permit and your IFTA Decals for you. We will complete and submit your application and have your license and decals for you in the shortest period of time possible.
