KYU #

If you plan to transport property or passengers to or through the state of Kentucky, in a commercial vehicle (both private and for-hire), with a GVWR of 60,000+, you will need a KYU # or you will need to buy a trip permit each time you enter the state. Currently, a ten day temporary permit will cost you approximately $45.00. If you will enter the state more than 2 or 3 times a year, you will need to obtain your own KYU #.
